About chat

Chat is available during regular weekday Library Hours, while the Library is open and class is in session during the fall & spring semesters. Sometimes chat may be unavailable due to a long queue or other library events.

Chat is always staffed by a John Jay librarian!

Types of questions you could ask a librarian over chat:

• Where should I begin to look for information on a topic?
• How do I find an article in Journal of Psychology, vol. 143, issue 6?
• How do I find out which books you have by a particular author?
